How a Dog Behaviour Consultation Works

As a qualified dog behaviour consultant, I combine my dog training experience with my knowledge of dog behaviour problems to help owners resolve their dogs’ issues.

I offer dog behaviour consultations within your home. 

If you are struggling with a dog behaviour or aggression problem, please contact me to discuss the issue. I will talk through your problem with you and, if necessary, contact your vet to get all the background information we need for the consultation.

• Separation anxiety

Costs and Pet Insurance Referral

A behaviour consultation costs £75 per hour (dependent on location).

A behaviour consultation consists of:

• An initial visit, which can last up to 2 hours (£150). This fee is dependent on location.
• Follow-up visits are dependent on the issue and cost £75 an hour (also dependent on location).
• A practical assessment with you and your dog.
• Learning and practising any methods.
• A full behaviour report for you to use as a reference.
• These costs may be covered by your pet insurance.

Providing support after a consultation is extremely important. Follow-up visits will be booked if necessary. If a further visit is not needed, follow-up phone calls and emails are free for the life of your dog.

My aim is to be available to ensure you are completely supported after the consultation and to help you and your dog reach your goals.

Due to the high quality of my work, my qualifications, and as a full member of the CFBA, I am recognised by pet insurance companies as a dog behaviourist to accept vet referrals for behavioural issues.

What Can I Help You With?

Some possible topics that can be covered in a virtual session include:

• Got a new puppy that refuses to settle, chews everything and just cannot get the idea of toilet training?
• Pre and post rescue or new dog adoption advice.
• Common dog behaviour problems such as house training, barking, digging, chewing, pulling on leash, jumping on people and destructive behaviour.
• Dog behaviour issues such as separation anxiety and some forms of aggression.

How Does Online Virtual Dog Training Work?

Online training is extremely flexible.



Reasons it may suit you are:

There may not be a suitable training class in your area.

You may have been waiting to enroll in a suitable training class and want to get started.

There may be other trainers in your area but they have long waiting lists.

Online training is perfect for hectic schedules. We all have busy lives and it is difficult to schedule anything extra in – especially dog training.

Virtual training can be done in your lunch time at work or between meetings.

No fancy or expensive technology needed to do a virtual session. If you have a computer with a webcam or a smartphone or tablet and an internet connection, you’re set! I use free, easy-to-download video chat software, such as Zoom.us. or Skype.

I will walk you through the entire process so don’t worry if you’re “technically challenged” – I make the process painless and enjoyable – I promise!

What Does Online Dog Training Cost?

When you purchase a session, I will contact you via email to schedule a time and date that’s convenient for you and your family.

You can even have more than one webcam on the session so household members can call in from other locations.

After we discuss your case, depending on your goals and your pet’s needs, I will design a custom package for you and schedule future sessions.

Sessions are booked in 30 and 60 minute increments.

    £30 for 30 minutes

    £50  for 60 minutes
